Clothing is one of the oldest and most important forms of self-expression - it’s also one of the most environmentally and socially detrimental industries on the planet, as the 4th largest carbon emitter, 2nd biggest plastic polluter, 3rd biggest water polluter, and employer of 80 million of some of the lowest paid workers in the world, 85% of which are women. It’s essential to our economy and to our lives, and yet its path from conception to creation rarely reflects our values and vision for the future.
